Ask Anything in
My Name

by Deborah S. Garcia

John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do.

This scripture is widely quoted within the ranks of Christendom, & the NAME ITCLAIM IT religion.  "Accept the LORD as your personal Savior and all your needs will be met."  Many come for gifts from the Lord, only to find that not a genie's lamp.  Jesus is not a give-me, give-me, give-me God.  There are prerequisites that often accompany this ASK ME religion.

Knowing the nature of receiving from the LORD is the difference between joy and sorrow., peace and worry.  First we must believe.  The bible says; if one would please God we must believe that He IS, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.  First we must believe that He is there, and is the provider of the things that we ask for, not a world force, trees, or positive thinking.  Jesus said,
all power in heaven and earth is given to me.  Then believing that God is, we must also believe that as we humble ourselves to Him, that it is HIS desire to BLESS US!
We do not have to be perfect to be blessed by God.  Our Lord is very tender and merciful the word of God says.  He blesses for HIS NAME SAKE.  When the children of Israel went astray as The Lord was leading them to the promise land, scripture teaches that they were not destroyed so that His name would retain glory among the nations.  Though they had a sinful heart of unbelief, they were spared because of the mercy of the Lord.

In coming to Jesus, we must be willing to in covenant with Him.  To be merged in holiness.  Let His thoughts become our thoughts, and in warm embrace of the spirit, desiring his desires. Jesus was a great example of what our desires should be.  Yet some never concern themselves with abiding, of living in Him, and Him fully living his life through us.  It was to His disciples who followed Him daily, s u r re n d e ring their whole hearts, that He said: If you ask anything in my name, I WILL do it.

John 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater
