They are even among God's people and leaders. But we must be like Jesus, who never allowed the opposition of the Pharisees to deter His purpose. He committed Himself to God and His righteousness; when being reviled, He reviled not again.
We can still maintain a "meek" (keeping our strength and pride under control) "and quiet spirit" leaving the conflict to Jesus as we pursue the work of God in our lives. If we suffer wrongfully, with patience and quietness, this will please our LORD whom we are trying to serve.
King David said:
Psalms 54:6: I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good. 7: For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
