Altar of Sacrifice

All descriptions of a way to God include an altar of repentance and sacrifice.  The entrance to the tabernacle included the brazen altar and laver, and then afterward the blood was sprinkled in the presence of God.  Then came ministry.
The scripture tells us that we are to present our body as a living sacrifice.  Jesus was the dying sacrifice on Calvary's cross but we are to live our lives sacrificially.

11: And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12: For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

You must spend much time in prayer and dedication in the Spirit with fasting to perfect your inner man and prepare you to submit to leadership and to God.  A call to the ministry is a deep relationship in the waters of The Lord's Presence, we must stay prepared. It takes preparation behind the scenes. It takes an altar of sacrifice.

Matthew: 4:17: From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

We must truly have an altar of repentance and sacrifice.  If we do, our spiritual walk and call will be true after the manner that the Lord is hoping to receive.
