Love is  the whole covering and foundation of the Kingdom of God.  In many ways Jesus sought to show to us the secret that was never actually hidden.

Jesus said: Matthew:5:22: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.  Can you imagine, being in danger of HELL FIRE just for calling another a fool?  The soul of man could be in jeopardy just for being angry.  This expresses the great desire of the Lord for brethren to love each other.

Jesus often spoke of things such as being a peacemaker, and merciful, being reconciled to you brother, and so on.  Love covers a multitude of sin, His word goes on.  And How can you love me, whom you haven't seen, and not love your brother you have seen?  Love your wives, men are commanded, in this way they would never intentionally hurt them. Love one another as I have loved you, because you shall be known by your love, one to another.  Love is of great importance to the Lord.
