It seemed like one day, as I traveled down a windy street, that  I was being blown in directions that I did not necessarily want to go.  It seemed the wind blew so strongly, that I was going backwards at times.   You perhaps have felt these winds very strong at some time in your lives.

The wind had a direction, whether or not we wanted to go  that way, we felt blown along with the wind.   Or perhaps carried along with all the pollution and filth of  a dirty river, we were drowning in the status quo of life..  So concerned we are by the approval of others as the winds of pier pressure blow, we take that first drink, or smoke.  So concerned with the breath of desire of someone we long to please,  we loose what is dearest to us, our purity. Though later, we try to act as though it didn't really matter, or that with us, it was alright", deep inside we wish the wind hadn't blown that warm, at that time.  Or, that we had an umbrella to deflect the ill will of the wind.   

Many have felt they had to conform to the winds of time and change around them.  the fashion, the food, the styles and trends, just keep blowing against our hope for independence and accomplishments.  .   We have to be "IN".  Blown by that strong wind, some never reach, our personal goals for happiness.

We do not have to be carried ;away by the winds of the doctrine of the IN crowd, the Jones's, or our peers.  We are good enough for the breath of royalty.  God breathe the breath of life into man, and he became a living soul. We can flow with the winds of kings and priests.  We are loved, just as we are. We were created to be know of a king, and to be His Royal children.   

It happen to me,  the day the strong north wind ceased to chill me too the bones, and the east wind began o blow on my Life.  I was filled with the Spirit of God, and began to praise the name of the Lord in a language that I never knew before.  I no longer felt the need to please others with a life style that did not please myself.  I had new direction in my life, there was peace., Joy and a special dose of Holy drunkenness. I was not drunk with wine, but t filled with the Spirit.

Many have tried to tell me that this beautiful gift from God is not available for us today.  Perhaps they have done away with it , but the God of the universe is still changing lives.  Still adding to us joy and direction. Still meeting us in a personal relationship that blows the socks off of other dogma. They came too late to tell me, that this beautiful east wind is the  same at the mighty rushing wind that blew on the day of Pentecost when men were filled with the Holy Ghost.  Thank God, they got to me too late! 

"Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.  And He shall send Jesus Christ,.." ( Acts 3: 19-20a)

The wind is blowing again.  The Apostles said "Christ in You, the hope of Glory",  Why not let Him breathe life into your nostrils today?
