A Sacrifice for the Most High

Prayer comes in many forms.  Of course it is the route to heart of God.  It is the pinnacle of God's strength   and power and it is the interlude of embrace through which we become more acquainted with His Spirit.  It is the vehicle upon which change is delivered into the heart of man from the throne room of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  It is the receptacle of acceptance and atonement received from the Master.
As the Prophet Elijah traveled through the desert wilderness of the kingdom of Israel, though he had no scroll, he had communication with the Almighty Himself.  That communicational relationship was such that Elijah did not see death, but was carried in a whirlwind to heaven.  The Lord was as close as a conversation with Elijah.  He would answer back to the prophet's perplexities.  When a widow sustained Elijah through a famine but lost her son.  God had an answer to the prayer of the Prophet.

·  21: And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.
· 22: And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

Enoch walked with God through much relationship and was translated.  God took him the scripture said.  He was a prophet through closeness with God, and great faith:  Enoch walked with God which means to live a certain way, or live with God.  You cannot live with someone without communication.  Though this is a conclusion, it is an obvious one.  An communication with God is through prayer.  Life with Him is also faith and obedience.
· Hebrews:11:5: By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

· Jude:1:14: And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

These men attained such a height of love and companionship with God through their Altar 0f Sacrifice appearing through faith and prayer and obedience.
The Lord loves communication and love, just as we who are in his image.  It was this sincere love and conversation, shunning the ways of the world, which brought these men such glorious favor and translation.  The rich reward of true faithfulness in life and in the Spirit made up their altar of sacrifice.


Who Kills Cancer?

In 1996 the Lord came to me one day as I lay on my face.  I felt his presence come over me in the most unusual position of sleep for me.  My face was completely immersed in the pillow.  I heard the Lord say:  "If you don't want to, I'm ready to take you home."  I jumped up shocked and wondering, "don't want to what?"

  I certainly prayed in earnest about this at which time I was given as the Lord called it, "a reprieve".  The Lord then began to give me several assignments, one of which was this newsletter.  He also commanded me to touch and pray for the people in the church that I attended as well as other projects.

After this time I began to feel death in the house from time to time.  This all lead up to a time that I felt the shadow of death spread over me as I was sleeping.  I was awakened suddenly and frightened, I woke my husband and asked him to pray.  Later I asked the Lord, "…why so many spirits of death in the house?  I felt bewildered because I was struggling to do His will.  He replied "Because of the condition of your body".  He did not disclose the condition, but later when I was very sick, He said He would help me.

  I was hospitalized with a threat of a short time to live because of a scare called lymphoma, i.e.:  CANCER!  I had no idea that this was what the Lord was talking about though I suffered through much pain and weakness.

There was a team of five doctors that were sure, one said, that I had cancer.  My main doctor was more upset than I was.  Of course, he didn't know Jesus.  By the end of the Ordeal, one doctor (Who was a Hindu, by the way) would tell me "You are BLESSED!!!!!  Jesus is most certainly the Son of God!

After letting me know the kind of cancer I was supposed to have, I looked it up in my John Hopkins medical book that Daniel brought me.  I WAS THERE!  Every strange symptom that I had was there in that book!!. 

I shed a few tears, we talked about the future, then after much prayer and urging from friends that the Lord had shown my demise, I decided to do as the scriptures said, and Ask!

  So in a quiet time, I explained to the Lord that I knew that He was able to heal me, and asked Him to do so. I thanked Him for the healing, explaining that I had plans for tomorrow.

I felt a change in my body.  After two cat scans, and the biopsy, I was informed that the places that were shown to be malignancies in my body were all DEAD CELLS!  My doctor said "We can't figure this out."

GUESS WHO KILLED THEM!!

Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus!

Who kills cancer? ONLY JESUS!!!
