" I'M A PRETTY GOOD
PERSON"

God often seems as that invisible being that we must look up to the sky or scan the clouds to see.  Some think He is often not one who walks close by helping us along this sojourn road, and not even one who is truly intrusive as a controller or one who can judge us to a bad end.  Yet He is.  Though we do not recognize the presence of the Lord in most things that we do, He is ever-present.  There is nothing that can or will ever be hidden from Him.  The bible says he passes judgment on things that we say without thinking, and not just our actions but the motive for our actions.
· Heb:4:12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

This Word of God is what every man will be judged out of.  The scriptures say that at the great white judgment
the books were opened and men deeds were judged whether good or evil.

"What have I done that is so wrong", one saya, I'm a pretty good person" Yet God is not looking for good people.  He is not judging our works based on the next fellow.  He is judging us based on the Word and Plan of God, and the presence of true salvation in our lives or the will of the Father, not the will of man.

David said:
Psalms: 27:4: One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

David's desire was to be in the house of the Lord, to experience the presence of the Lord. How does that compare with some of our life dreams?  We must remember that God is going to judge us for all the things we have done for ourselves, with a lack of concern for others, and the word and will of God.  In other words, a person living only for himself and so called not bothering anyone else, nor being concerned about God, shall no doubt spend eternity in hell.  Why, because he has not done the will of the Father.  Neither have they sought God to know His will, our sought the voice of God and HIS plan for salvation.  Again the Lord is not looking for people who are good in their own eyes, but for servants who will be good in His eyes, and their badness is covered by the blood of Jesus.

Heb:2:3: How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation

Our
righteousness is as filthy rags to the Lord.  We cannot be good enough; we must rely on Jesus Christ's righteousness for that goodness that can cross the gates of heaven.  No man's righteousness can do that.  It is not what man thinks about the matter but whether or not the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is applied to their lives.

John 3:16:
God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believed in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus was not sent to condemn the world, because the world was already condemned because we could not live God's law.  Jesus came that we should be saved.

A "good" person will not make it to heaven, a saved person will.  First such a person must be as Jesus said, born of the water and the Spirit.  They must be born again.  They then must walk in the newness of life, visit and keep themselves unspotted from sins. & worldly acts, and not forsake the assembling of the church.  All requirements found in the Word of God.

Gal:5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
